If you want to step back in time for a moment, visit The Bradbury Building, the oldest commercial building in downtown LA.
The exterior features a Romanesque theme, and the interior presents a Victorian-style lobby with marble stairs, old open-cage elevators, iron railing, and a glass ceiling. So to say this is photogenic just doesn’t do it justice.
If this looks familiar that’s because it was featured in the films 500 Days of Summer and The Blade Runner.

17. Noho Station
The Noho station, or North Hollywood Station, is a subway station combined with a bus rapid transit station.
While you can use this as a means of transportation around the city, the reason why it’s on this list is because of the amazing design and structure!
Located on Lankershim Boulevard and Chandler Boulevard intersection, these beautiful orange arcs can’t be missed. As you make your way down the escalators this is where you will find the colorful art that fills the walls.
This is a perfect location to get dynamic shots going both up or down the stairs or outside the building. If you get your shot going down the stairs or outside the building you can also capture the palm trees!

20. LAX Plane Spotting
For an epic photo of a plane flying above your head, you have to visit the LAX plane spotting site!
LAX is an extremely busy airport so you will have plenty of chances to get that perfect shot.
There are a few places to get that Instagram-worthy photo. It just depends on what type of photo you want. Here are some of the best LA Instagram spots to pick from:
- In-N-Out Burger– one of the most popular locations to watch airplanes. You’ll get a view of the plane landing, or taking off, with the In-N-Out Burger sign, cars, and palm trees.
- Airplane Landing Viewpoint Park– an open space where most camp out with lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy good views of the planes.
You will capture the landing strip in the shot, but if you walk a little further past the park you will be able to capture photos directly under the plane’s landing path!
- Clutter’s Park– a narrow strip of grass located in El Segundo on a hill and arguably the best place to watch planes take off.
21. Venice Plants
Venice Plants is a cute and quiet location that is full of lush greenery.
This is the perfect spot to take boho-themed pictures surrounded by plants. And one great thing about this place is that they don’t mind you taking photos.

Operating Hours: Open daily 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Wall art, street performers, a skate park, public gym equipment, shops, and bars, are just a few of the things to see at Venice Beach Boardwalk.
So if you have limited time on your vacation, I highly suggest putting this location at the top of your list because there is a lot to see and do.
Note: I wouldn’t suggest bringing your kids to this spot because this is not a very kid-friendly place.

- Beverly Hills Shield Sign, which is the easiest to get to, is at the Beverly Hills Visitor Center
- The small Beverly Hills sign on Little Santa Monica Boulevard at Moreno Drive
28. Venice Beach Sign
The Venice Beach Sign is one of the most instagrammable places in Los Angeles and the good news is you can catch this spot on the way to another iconic location on Venice Beach!
The sign is located at the Pacific Avenue and Windward Avenue intersection. There is a diagonal crosswalk here so you can snap a photo from the middle of the street.
Please remember to wait until the crosswalk gives you the go-ahead because this is a busy street and getting hit by a car is not worth taking a picture!
Address: Pacific Ave & Windward Ave, 1501 Main St #205, Venice, CA 90291 (Google maps location)
29. Korean Friendship Bell
The Korean Friendship Bells is another instagrammable historic landmark in LA and a great way to add stunning photos to your thread.
This enormous detailed bell truly lives up to its name because it was actually donated to Los Angeles by Korea in 1976. A great way to start a friendship eh?
The Korean Friendship Bell makes for amazing photo spots, as it makes you look like you’re not even in California. It also overlooks the Pacific Coast so you can include that breathtaking view as your backdrop too!
Address: 3601 S Gaffey St, San Pedro, CA 90731 (Google maps location)
Operating Hours: Open daily 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
30. Pirate Tower
One of the most difficult, or rewarding depending on how you look at it, photogenic places in LA is the Pirate Tower.
This beautiful tower sits right on the shore of Laguna Beach and is often a popular location for romantic photoshoots. But to say it’s a hidden gem is an understatement.
You first have to locate the not-so-obvious staircase which is situated between two houses. Before you even get to the staircase, which I will explain in one second, you have to park on PCH because there is no public parking since this is a neighborhood.
Once you park, you need to locate the end of Sunset Terrace. The staircase is on the opposite side of the end of Sunset Terrace, between houses 2713 and 2703.
If these directions are too much for you, because they were for me, I recommend using the MapMyWalk app by Under Armour or Apple Maps instead of Google Maps because the paths are not on Google Maps.
Note: Make sure you check the tide times before visiting because you can’t visit during high tide as the pathway will be entirely underwater.
Address: Victoria Dr., Laguna Beach, CA 92651
31. Hollywood Walk Of Fame
Of course, I have to mention one of the most iconic LA Instagram spots in Hollywood: The Hollywood Walk of Fame.
This is where all of your favorite musicians, actors, and even fictional characters’ stars are located.
This one strip of sidewalk has millions of visitors each year so try to come as early in the day as possible to get a photo with just you in it!
Address: Hollywood Boulevard, Vine St, Los Angeles, CA 90028 (Google maps location)
Website: Hollywood Walk of Fame
32. Calamigos Ranch
The Calamigos Ranch is hands down the best place to stay in Malibu. Sitting on 5,500+ acres of land tucked away in the Santa Monica Mountains, this ranch offers some of the best views in the entire city of Los Angeles.
The weeping willows, rustic aesthetic, fairy lights, and wispy waterfalls are that of your most magical fairytales.
Almost everyone at this hotel is committed to giving you an excellent experience, which just makes this place even more special.
Address: 327 Latigo Canyon Rd, Malibu, CA 90265 (Google maps location)
Website: Calamigos Ranch
33. Eataly LA
Another popular location that adds to the diversity of Los Angeles is Eataly. This marketplace is inspired by, you guessed it, Italy!
I highly suggest you visit this place on an empty stomach so you can enjoy all they have to offer from cheese, meats, and wine to pasta, pizza, and gelato.
There are also plenty of spots to get some amazing pictures!
Address: 10250 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90067 (Google maps location)

Palm Tree Street, or North Beverly Drive, is a very popular street that many visit to live out their LA fantasy and get that picture-perfect shot for the gram.
Located on South Windsor in Beverly Hills, Palm Tree Street is arguably one of the best places to get that iconic LA shot you’ve been waiting for.
The endless rows of palm trees against the beautiful blue sky make for an epic photo and the ideal backdrop.
Note: North Beverly Drive is also a residential neighborhood. So please be mindful of the residents and be careful when you’re standing in the middle of the road, especially during rush hour!
Address: 498-400 S Windsor Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90020 (Google maps location)
35. The Pink Wall
One of Los Angeles most instagrammable places is this classic pink wall at Paul Smith, which has become very famous on Instagram due to its simplicity and ability to go with almost any outfit.
So if you’re on Melrose Avenue, make sure you get some pictures behind the most instagrammable pink wall that ever existed.
Note: You are not allowed to bring cameras here. There is even a security guard to make sure of it, so if you’re going to take photos here make sure it’s on your phone. Otherwise, you’ll be asked to leave.
Address: 8221 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046 (Google maps location)
36. Venice Canals
The Venice Canals is one of the best instagrammable places in Los Angeles! The Venice Canals offer some of the most photogenic places in Los Angeles with the color houses and kayaks, palm trees, reflective water, and of course the canal itself!
There are a few ways to get that epic shot, one of which is where you sit on top of the canal while capturing the houses and palm trees reflecting in the water.
Another great photo spot is the walkways surrounding the canals.
Note: The canals are located in a quiet residential neighborhood on Venice Beach so the closest parking lot will be 2108 Pacific Avenue.
Address: 200 Linnie Canal Venice, CA 90291 (Google maps location)
37. Mondrian Hotel
The Mondrian Hotel is a luxury hotel located near other popular attractions such as the Getty Museum and Rodeo Drive in West Hollywood.
While the hotel is glorious that’s not why it made the list. The rooftop pool bar is what attracts both hotel guests and those looking for a cool swim with beautiful views.
The rooftop pool is encased with glass and paired with white fixtures, greenery, and expansive views of the city.
Note: The lounge chairs are only for the hotel guests. You can’t bring backpacks, luggage, photography equipment (Go Pros, selfie sticks, and DSLRs), or outside food and drinks to the pool, including the guests.
Address: 8440 Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069 (Google maps location)
Website: Mondrian Hotel
38. Brentwood
The front gates and floral arrangements at Brentwood make for an amazing background for your photos. Actually, the entire multi-million dollar neighborhood makes for great photos.
Just make sure you’re being respectful of people’s property and privacy. The rule of thumb here is to stay on the sidewalk, around the front gate, and on the public streets.
If you go onto people’s porches, yards, and private property you will be trespassing and that is illegal my friend.
Address: 12019 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90049 (Google maps location)
39. Olvera Street
Olvera Street is another location that makes Los Angeles so diverse. Also known as “the birthplace of Los Angeles”, Olvera Street is a Mexican Market place that dates all the way back to 1930.
The aesthetic cafes, restaurants, street vendors, and painted stalls all contribute to the romantic “Old Los Angeles” vibe that this street brings. Olvera Street offers many opportunities to add a bright and colorful pop to your photos.
There are also many souvenir shops and puestos (stalls) selling handcrafted items such as wallets, purses, leather, pottery, and Mexican folk art.
Address: Olvera Street Los Angeles, CA 90012
Website: Olvera Street
40. Micheltorena Stairs
One of the most instagrammable spots in Los Angeles are the Micheltorena Stairs. Painted by Corinne Carrey, these colorful stairs are a unique way to add a pop to your LA pics.
It’s also super convenient because you can snap your pictures and keep moving on to your next destination on this list!
I recommend wearing yellow or white because both of these colors go really well with the steps color scheme.
Note: Make sure you park in a place that is permitted because there are a lot of neighborhoods in this area and there is a high risk of you getting towed if you’re parked where you’re not supposed to be.
If you’re having a hard time finding the stairs, locate the Alfred Coffee and Micheltorena Elementary School, and the stairs will be directly across the street.
Address: 3337 1/2 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026 (Google maps location)
Parking: 3406 Larissa Dr Los Angeles (Google maps location)
41. The Last Bookstore
The Last Bookstore is one of the best instagrammable places in Los Angeles! The books are perfectly arranged to give you the best Instagram-worthy photo.
My personal favorite structure is the arc of books.
Another great thing about this place is that they’re pretty lax about taking photos here so you won’t have to feel rushed getting the right angle!
Address: 453 S Spring St Ground Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90013 (Google maps location)
Operating Hours: Open daily 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Website: The Last Bookstore
42. Echo Park Lake
Echo Park Lake is one of the most photogenic places in LA with the backdrop of the LA skyline, the fountains, lotus flowers, bridge, and palm trees.
One of the most notable things to do in this park is paddle in a swan boat!
If you’re not a water person, that’s okay too because you can also enjoy strolling through the park and its revived boathouse!
Address: 751 Echo Park Ave Los Angeles, CA 90026 (Google maps location)
43. Abbot Kinney Boulevard
Abbot Kinney Boulevard is a 1-mile strip of cute shops, restaurants, cafes, and instagrammable wall art.
This is the perfect place to get as many pictures as your heart can take and eat as much delicious food as your stomach will allow.
There are plenty of Instagram-worthy places in LA to capture on this strip but here are few to start:
- Intelligencia
- Kelsey Montague Wings
- Murals at Gjelina
- The Piece Collective
- Bleeding Hearts Mural
Address: Abbot Kinney Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90291 (Google maps location)
44. Hollywood Pantages Theatre
Another grand theatre in Los Angeles is the Hollywood Pantages Theater. The interior decor and architecture are one of the most extravagant pieces of architecture I’ve ever seen.

Address: 1 Trump National Dr, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275 (Google maps location)
87. Zuma Beach
Zuma Beach is the perfect place to go to have fun in the sun all day. Many people come here to sunbathe, swim, body surf, and windsurf.
The beach stretches for 1.8 miles and spans across 105 acres of property and includes helpful amenities such as bathrooms and showers as well as restaurants, food stands, bus stops, and volleyball nets.
Grab your cutest bikini and sunglasses because this is the time for those cute bikini pics next to the lifeguard stand!
Note: The riptide here can be pretty rough, so please swim at your own risk!
Address: 30000 E Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA 90265 (Google maps location)
88. El Matador State Beach
Another picture-perfect beach in Los Angeles is El Matador State Beach. This beach is located pretty close to Malibu and is a popular location for professional photo shoots.
El Matador Beach is not very swimmable due to the sea caves and rocks on the shore, although they do have locations designated for swimming and snorkeling.
This location is mainly used for sunbathing, strolling on the beach, and capturing gorgeous sunsets. It’s also a great beach for dynamic pictures as you can take pictures along the shore, above the shore, or underneath one of the large sea caves!
Note: Like most LA Instagram spots on this list, it gets very crowded on the weekend, so I suggest either going early in the morning or on a weekday. It’s also advisable to come here during the low tide.
Address: 32350 E Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA 90265 (Google maps location)
89. Point Dume State Beach
For an easier hike to another beautiful beach in Malibu, head over to Point Dume State Beach and Preserve.
The beautiful blue waters, gorgeous views, and active marine life make this one of the most peaceful beaches in Los Angeles.
If you get lucky you may even get to snap some photos of the sea lions resting on the rocks or dolphins playing in the water!
Address: Cliffside Dr &, Birdview Ave, Malibu, CA 90265 (Google maps location)
90. Muscle Beach
Muscle Beach is a popular beach located in Venice where famous celebs such as Lou Ferrigno and Arnold Schwarzenegger have come to work out, but that’s not the only reason why Muscle Beach is so famous.
This is also the spot where other athletes like gymnasts come to practice as well!
You will find a lot of vintage gym equipment such as rings and ropes, so there are a lot of chances to get Instagram-worthy photos.
Muscle Beach is a great place to go to work out outside or make it seem like you’re exercising for Instagram, either one works.
Address: Ocean Front Walk, Santa Monica, CA 90401 (Google maps location)
91. Malibu Pier
The Malibu Pier is Malibu’s most notable landmark and takes the cake for iconic piers on the coast.
It’s a great place to take dynamic pictures because the views both on and off the pier are equally stunning.
For the best views I suggest going around sunset when they turn the lights on and the background is filled with orange, pink, and purple. Either way, you can’t go wrong with the Malibu Pier!
Address: 23000 CA-1, Malibu, CA 90265 (Google maps location)
